We had a nice relaxing trip from Jacksonville to Crestview yesterday. For a change we took the 'red' routes instead of the interstates. Took a little over 6 hours.
Joyce and her sister Barb were happy to see us. Joyce is not doing well, she is very frail, but her sister is taking very good care of her. What a wonderful person she is to give up her life to take care of her sister.
The weather here is nice....about 80 degrees and sunny. Getting a bit too warm to suit my taste, but that's why they call it the sunny South. We shall endeavor to persevere.
Our plan is to head on up to Birmingham Thursday to visit with Fred and Pat for a couple days. Looking forward to seeing them again.
That's about it for now.
P.S. Good luck, Mandy, on your driving. Wish I was there to show you how. ;) ;)

I'm gonna take a guess and say it has something to do with a flower? I know I'm wrong, but it doesn't hurt to guess :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having fun :)
Love,
Samantha
Hi Samantha
ReplyDeleteThat is a good guess......but wrong. Sorry.
Hint: check where the town is located.
Love, Pap
Is it because part of the town is located in Florida and part of it is in Alabama, so they took the Flor part of Florida and the Ala part of Alabama and they put it together to make Florala? If it's right, then what would happen if you lived right on the state line? What state would you live in? Florida or Alabama?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can answer my questions :)
Love,
Samantha
P.S.
ReplyDeleteThe time is wrong, I didn't post my comment at 6:02 I posted it at 9:02, just thought you would like to know if you didn't already
Love, Samantha
You got it, Samantha! We drove thru Florala on the way to Crestview.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, most states have a law that depends on where your kitchen or bedroom is located determines which state you live in. Sometimes it's a matter of choice. Aunt Suzi's house is on the border of Bushkill and Moore townships, but they choose to be in Bushkill township.
Congrats Samantha....Love, Pap
